The OE torque arm mounts to the tailshaft housing of the transmission. For factory horsepower levels and average street driving this works fine, but drag racing combined with more power equals broken tailshaft housings.

Option 2: We include 4 mount bolts and 4 mount straps that can used to mount the plate as indicated in Fig. 1. This option will allow you to mount the plate if the hole in your tunnel is already larger than the 4 mount holes, allowing the bolts to go all the way through and mount to the 4 clamp plates. If you are using the T56 Magnum in conjunction with a GM connect and cruise package or utilizing an electronic speedometer from companies such as: Classic Instruments, Auto Meter, or Dakota Digital you will will be able to program the outputs to the needed pulse count as well as control the parameters of the reverse lock out all from the Bluetooth enabled smart phone app.
The All-in-One harness solution for the T56 transmission comes equipped with all the connections pre-wired into one harness for a simple installation and ease of use. The small epoxy sealed controller is mounted to the VSS output using the existing bolt, and once the unit is powered up you will be able to connect via Bluetooth to your Apple or Android smartphone using our free app. The app will give you the ability to customize the input and output settings for each feature to ensure proper operation in your vehicle.

Once power is applied, the solenoid pulls the pin back allowing reverse engagement with minimal effort. The OE’s control this feature using a speed setting to dictate when the pin is pulled rather than a momentary on/off signal. We’ve incorporated that same speed setting feature into the All-in-One harness to give you better control over when the lock out is triggered.
The T56 All-in-One Harness utilizes a small, built in, epoxy sealed box that will control each of the 3 functions with power and grounding for each function through a switched +12v circuit and a wire connected to the negative battery post or engine block. Control of the reverse lockout solenoid is based on a user defined speed setting (Default is set at locked above 4 MPH and unlocked at 0-3 MPH) This eliminates the need for a separate lock out control box which is currently the only option to activate the reverse lock out correctly. It is common for most folks to just simply connect their lock out solenoid to a momentary on/off switch such as the brake light switch to activate. This method will get the job done, but can over work the solenoid, and over time shorten its life span.
For your electronic speedometer, the harness is equipped with 2 speed sensor outputs; the speed sensor outputs generate a square wave signal that goes from about -5 to roughly +5 volts, varying in frequency as the speed changes. But, you say, my ECM input needs a positive only signal. No problem! The output will automatically shift and give you 0 to +10 volts. The 2 speed sensor outputs are completely independent and can be calibrated separately with any pulse count and ratio you want. So, these two outputs should pretty much be able to drive any common speedometer, cruise control, or ECM. This will give you much greater flexibility in the components you are able to use and requires less time wiring everything up.
The reverse lights are powered by a single output wire connected to the positive side of your reverse lights; grounding of those lights should be local to the bulb socket. There is no easier solution for setting up your T56 transmission! T56 & TR6060 transmissions are big! When retrofitting a TR6060, a T56 Magnum, or a T56 from a ’98 – ’02 F-Body (Camaro, Firebird, Trans Am) into a 1st gen F-Body the transmission tunnel is too small to fit the transmission when it is installed at the proper driveline angle.
When you are upgrading your 1967-1969 Camaro to a Tremec T-56 Magnum you are going to need to modify the transmission tunnel to get the proper drive line angle set. We have taken the hard work out of the installation by producing a quality sheet metal transmission tunnel replacement that has the factory reinforcement ribs and has the proper increased height to install the 6-speed T-56 Magnum transmission.
This is a weld in tunnel patch.

T56, TR6060, and 4L80 transmissions are big! When retrofitting a modern overdrive transmission into an older car it’s common to have to enlarge the transmission tunnel. This preformed tunnel patch gives you a head start in making enough room.
This is a weld in tunnel patch. This is commonly used in Novas, Chevelles, Camaros and many Mopars with a T56 Magnum or 4L80E being used. We have had customers use them in many different applications and with several transmission configurations. This is general sheet metal raised tunnel and is not specific to a car, it will require some fabricating skill and is to be fully welded in place. There are no instructions for this part.
Photos of a customer-installed tunnel are provided for reference. As this will require fabrication, there are many ways to finish the details with this tunnel.

Crossmember is installed with transmission mounting tab positioned towards front of car, and exhaust double humps are on the top, next to floor pan.
The supplied aluminum spacers are to provide custom height positioning of your transmission mount. (if you need them) They are positioned between the crossmember and your GM 3 hole transmission mount. Select desired amount of spacers needed and use longer bolts to insure full engagement into transmission mount. Some applications will not require any spacers.
Some vehicles of this generation are equipped with a crossmember that bolts directly to the vehicles frame rail, while others are equipped with crossmembers that utilize tabs that set on the frame rails, embedded with a rubber liner. Our #RCAE crossmember bolts directly to the frame rails to the factory frame holes. ( Do Not Use The Rubber Pads ! ) utilize the provided 7/16″ hardware and enlarge holes in your frame rails with a 1/2″ drill-bit. If you stay with the stock size 3/8″ hardware, it is strongly recommended to use new Grade #8 fasteners to compensate.

This crossmember is installed with the GForce label facing the REAR of the vehicle. A second determining feature is the crossmember center tube section has a 1/2″ in. drain hole located on the BOTTOM and should be on the PASSENGER side next to the exhaust hump weldment.
The crossmember is installed so that the exhaust humps are towards the floor of car and open to bottom. The Exhaust runs under the crossmember.
To utilize the new provided 7/16″ in. mounting hardware, it is necessary to enlarge the OEM holes in the frame. If installer chooses to utilize the stock size 3/8″ in. hardware, it is STRONGLY recommended that installer obtains Grade#8 high-strength fasteners & washers to compensate.

Many modern overdrive transmissions – like the Tremec T56 – are big! When retrofitting a newer transmission into an older car the transmission tunnel may very well be too small to fit the transmission when it is installed at the proper driveline angle. This tunnel patch is pre-curved and gives you a head start in making more room.
The Hurst Universal tunnel patch is large enough for installing a most transmissions, including a Tremec Magnum 6-speed transmission in just about any vehicle. The universal tunnel patch is constructed from 18-gauge mild steel and is pre-rolled and tapered to accommodate most floor pans.

Our mechanical reverse lockout is the easiest and most cost-effective way to retain the reverse lockout feature of the T56 and TR6060 transmission. This replaces the reverse lockout solenoid and installs with one bolt – it couldn’t be easier.
This fits the Tremec T56 Magnum, Magnum-F, TR6060, and other similar models.
Wiring the Reverse Lockout Solenoid on a T-56 is a frustrating process on most swaps. Most commonly, builders remove the lockout solenoid or leave the solenoid un-wired which requires the driver to “muscle” through the lockout into reverse. Muscling the shifter into reverse can cause damage to the transmission while deleting the lockout leaves a high risk of accidentally shifting into reverse while driving. The T-56 and TR-6060 Reverse Solenoid Delete is designed as a safer alternative to completely removing or “muscling” through the solenoid. The Delete offers the right amount of resistance to reduce the risk of accidentally shifting into reverse without risking the damage caused by “muscling” the shifter.
The Solenoid Delete will come with one M8x1.25×30 SHCS, one softer spring (a must for short shifters and some relocation cases), and the O-ring needed for installation. The Delete is NOT a lockout and will not completely prevent the driver from going into reverse. As with any modification, care should be taken to understand the limitations and expectations of said modification before installation.

New Trans Tunnel for your 1965-1973 Ford Mustang! We made it easier for anyone to install as we have done the hard work for you. This is not a generic universal piece–we designed our transmission panel to be as compact as possible and will allow the use of the stock consoles.
This panel is designed to raise the stock tunnel up to 1-1/2” above the stock height. It is not intended to repair tunnels with big holes cut in them, however it is part of good plan to achieve proper driveline angles with the installation of late model engines and transmissions.
It is a very nice design that does not require difficult fabrication. It requires a minimal amount of factory tunnel removal without reducing the strength of the stock floor if properly installed.

Transmission Mount Angle Shims – fits Most GM RWD Applications
Transmission mount shims are useful for tuning drive train and drive shaft angles. These shims are 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ in size, 1/8″ thick, and made from aluminum. This set of 4 individual shims allow adjustments from 1/8″ to 1/2″. These shims are designed to work with the late model gm style single centered stud mounts, or the early model gm style dual stud mount with 1-1/2″ between hole centers. The base dimensions of 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ provide a solid contact between the transmission mount and the transmission crossmember. Attempts to use a standard flat washer as a shim will never provide the same contact or rigidity which these precision shims accomplish.
