Tin Man ’64-’65 GM A-Body Convertible LS Swap Kit

Description

Bolt-in an LS motor and a 700R4, 4L60E, 4L65E, TKO or T56 Transmission into your 1964-1965 Convertible or El Camino A Body Project. This kit will virtually install any GM transmission into your A Body Chassis.

NOTE: Due to the location of the transmission mount on the T56, the transmission mount brackets (welded to the frame) will need to be moved back or fabricate new ones to weld on in the correct location on the frame.

These mounts will give you proper driveline angles as well as correct oil pan and steering clearance that are a common problem with some other kits. The Transmission Crossmember is specifically made to be used for the boxed style frames on the convertibles and El Camino’s.

• Polyurethane transmission mount (not shown)
• Hardware kit
• Instructions

Other Parts required:

• Holley 302-2 Oil pan
• LS swap headers
• Car style intake. (truck intake will not clear the hood)

NOTE: To maintain proper drive line angles, transmission tunnel modification is required with TKO, T56, 4L80, 6L90, or 8L90 installations. We recommend our Tin Man Trans Tunnel Panel Part #100311 to simplify this modification.
