UMI 1978-1996 B-Body Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets | UMI Performance control arm relocation brackets quickly turn your factory or aftermarket rear control arms into a lift bar set-up. The relocation brackets are designed to lower the rear mount of the control arm changing the instant center point for improved traction. After product installed, you will see a great increase in traction by lowering the rearward angle of the lower control arm, allowing more force to be placed on the rear tires. Relocation brackets have two settings to allow the lower control arm to be lowered either 2″ or 3″, depending on vehicle height. Settings are placed in a correct pattern that will allow use of all OEM control arms or any aftermarket control arms (brackets do not require a longer control arm). This product is designed to work on lowered and non-lowered vehicles, please see below for additional information. Sway Bar: This product will work with the factory lower control arms but will not fit correctly with a factory style rear sway bar. To run a factory style rear sway bar with these brackets you need to purchase UMI lower control arms. The following lower control arms will allow the use of a factory style sway bar- Item #3611, 3612, 3613 and 3614. Non-Lowered Vehicles: Product installed on a factory height vehicle is designed to decrease wheel hop and tire spin. Lowering the rear of the control arm instantly plants the rear tires harder into the ground, increasing traction and reducing tire spin. Lowered Vehicles: Relocation brackets are a must for all lowered vehicles to correct lost suspension geometry. By lowering your vehicle, you are changing the lower control arm angle allowing the rear mounting point to sit higher than the front. This will, in return, cause wheel hop and a great deal of traction loss. Adding relocation brackets will correct the control arm angle prevent traction loss. Installation: Brackets are weld-in only, supplied bare metal and install in approximately 1 – 2 hours. Hardware and installation instructions are included with each kit. | Rear Control Arms | rear-control-arms suspension | |||
UMI 1978-1996 B-Body Polyurethane Rear End Housing Bushings Black | UMI’s high durometer polyurethane bushings replace the factory rubber rear end housing bushings. After many years of weather and abuse the factory rubber bushings tend to dry rot, crack and harden which can lead to decreased ride quality and performance. The UMI polyurethane bushings replace the two upper control arm rear end differential bushings – the bushings that stay attached to the rear end “ears”. New rear end housing bushings are an excellent upgrade for your street driven or track used vehicle. Kit includes two bushings and two washers, the included polyurethane washers prevent the bushings from walking side to side. UMI Performance G-Body 1" Lowering Spring Kit | Black powdercoat finish A spring is a spring right? Wrong! When UMI chose to manufacture our own line of springs we went all out. Designed in conjunction with a leading Sprint Cup chassis engineer, these springs are the best in the business. Our front springs are wound from 5160 CrSi premium wire and feature a linear 600 lb/in rate. The rear springs are wound from 9254 CrSi premium wire and feature a linear 130 lb/in rate. The linear rate provides consistent handling characteristics which are important for Auto-x and Pro-Tour applications while the increase in stiffness reduces body roll and prevents the “floating” feeling so common with the G-body. These springs are suitable for Auto-x and Pro-Tour applications as well as corner carving/cruising. The ride height is engineered for a 1” lowering with standard SBC as well as LS power (lightened cars may require spring trimming). The front springs are also suitable for full weight Big Block applications when ¼” nose down rake is desired. They have a tough, black powder coat finish and UMI proudly manufactures these premium quality springs in the USA. Features:
