We use these V-Band flanges for header collectors.  On cars with a full exhaust system, we like to add an extra V-Band flange behind the rear muffler.  We weld the rest of the system, so when it comes time to drop your exhaust, all you have to mess with is the four V-Band flanges, no more crimping clamps.
