Description
Full-Vehicle Suspension for Impalas, Caprices, and Roadmasters
Want better handling for your 1994-1996 GM B-Body vehicle? Turn to QA1’s handling suspension kits for the best ride that fits your needs. Available in three different levels of performance, these handling kits offers easy, bolt-in installation and seamlessly works with whatever OE component each piece attaches to.
We installed the Level 3 kit, with coil overs, on a customer’s ’96 Impala 6 speed and wow what a difference! With the double adjustable shocks you can dial in the ride you want – for street, track, drag racing, or driving grandma around comfortably you can dial it in just right in minutes.
Hot Rod Magazine wrote up our installation which you can read here.

Summary of the packages
We suspect most of you will be interested in the Level 3 kit. We can customize kits as well, please see below for the summary differences between the levels.
- Level 1: Standard shock and spring
- Level 2: Coil overs are single adjustable (compression and rebound in one knob, 18 positions)
- Level 3: Coil overs are double adjustable (compression an rebound each controlled by separate knob, 18 positions each), QA1’s Ultimate ball joints which are rebuildable and are “low friction and self-lubricating and allow for on-the-car adjustment”
Please note that an alignment is required after installing this kit. And to really make the most out of coil overs, we recommend a corner balance. Also note that the front lower control arm forward mounting point needs the chassis opening clearanced – 1/2″ of material needs to be ground, pictures will be posted here shortly.
Don’t want to make the investment right away? No problem. You can build your car in stages, using our parts list as a road map to get to the level of performance you want and have the peace of mind knowing you won’t have compatibility issues.
These kits include spring rates carefully selected to maximize performance while maintaining a smooth, comfortable ride. They are geared towards average weight small block and LS powered vehicles with stock trim. Our level three handling kits offer stiffer springs to maximize cornering performance.
What if the vehicle has been heavily modified from its original weight? No problem. These kits are also offered without shocks to give you the flexibility to order the shocks with the spring rates you want.
