1988-2000 Chevrolet C1500 LS/LT Swap Transmission Adapter Bracket – T-56 or T-56 Magnum

Hooker BlackHeart has quickly become the leader in LS and LT engine swaps and we are excited to announce new products for 1988-2000 GM C1500 Trucks/SUVs (GMT400 or “OBS”). This transmission crossmember adapter is designed to allow the use of a Tremec T-56 or T-56 Magnum transmission along with Hooker BlackHeart Engine Swap Mount Brackets (choose between P/N: BHS552 (LS), BHS553 (LT), or deluxe brackets BHS554 (LS/LT rear-biased position). Utilizing the factory 1988-2000 C1500 700RW/4L60/4L60E transmission crossmember, driveshaft, and engine isolator mounts will complete the list of items that will result in a trouble-free install. Of course, don’t forget Hooker Blackheart 71223029HKR (black) or 71223030HKR (red) transmission mounts as well to replace a tired factory piece.
If utilizing drive-by-wire (DBW) functionality, see Holley #145-113 DBW Accelerator Pedal Bracket that allows the use of Holley #145-160 DBW Accelerator Pedal to easily bolt in the perfect location.

LS Engine Adapters to Small Block Frame

KDS Performance Mount Brackets allow a direct mounting option for LS engine retrofits in vehicles originally equipped with a Small Block Chevy.

Brackets are bare steel, photograph shows black powder coat which is not included.

KDS Performance Motor Mount Brackets have been successfully used on:

1973-87 GM Full Size Trucks (Blazer/Silverado/Suburban etc).
1988-98 GM Fullsize pickups. Includes 1999 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban, and 2000 2500/3500 trucks with the 5.7L/350ci Vortec engines
1977-1993 GM Fullsize “B Body” cars
1978-1987 A body and G-body
KDS brackets locate the LS engine at the “stock” SBC location, ie, the new LS engine does not require any relocation of the transmission. This has several advantages:

Reuse your existing transmission
On 4WD trucks, you don’t need to move your trans, transfer case, or modify 2 (!!) driveshafts.
You can reuse the stock fan shroud and still run an LS mechanical fan with no fitment issues.
Maintain the stock driveline angles. No chasing driveline vibrations because of odd driveline angles from poor motor mount bracket design.
Instead of using adapter plates, KDS motor mount brackets incorporate the clamshell mounting features into the bracket.
