This 1977 Toyota FJ40 is getting an all new suspension system, new tires, and a cosmetic upgrade here at Three Pedals.

The previous owner installed a small block Chevy engine, connected to a 700R4 transmission.  Yes, it’s an automatic, and it’s staying that way for now.  Many of the suspension components were worn, and we spec’d out new custom Alcan springs, Bilstein shocks, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires.  In the picture below, we’ve addressed the wheels and tires but that’s it so far.

We’ve already given the truck a tune up, which got it past the emissions inspection requirement in Washington, DC.  Once the new suspension is installed, we will be addressing a couple of rust spots, blacking out some trim, and improving overall drivability.
